The very different places of the Picene territory give rise to a great variety of food resources and gastronomic traditions.

Nowadays The Ascolian oliva tenera (tender olive) (recently awarded with DOP label) is the symbol of this province, expecially in its stuffed and fried version.

The extra virgin olive oil extracted, wholly harmonius, is sweet, of light grassy and fruity taste.

The fishermen cooking strength lies in its simplicity and sapid tastes. The preminent dish is the brodetto (fish soup), appreciated in many large and small restaurants and of San Benedetto del Tronto, Grottammare and Porto San Giorgio.

The choice of local wines is rich and of great quality, due to the presence of many DOC vines.
